We have been closely monitoring recent changes to U.S. tariff policies and want to ensure you are informed about how these updates may impact the products you purchase from A+ Products, Inc.
Key Tariff Updates:
- February 4, 2025: A 10% tariff was imposed on all products imported from China under the IEPPA(Emergency Economic Powers Act). This tariff is now in effect.
- February 14, 2025: The U.S. government expanded Section 232 of the tax code, imposing an additional 25% tariff on all imported steel and aluminum products. This tariff will take effect on March 12, 2025.
These tariffs are in addition to any preexisting tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, including the 25% tariff on steel imports from China imposed in 2018.
How This Affects You: At A+ Products Inc., we are committed to providing high-quality products at competitive prices. Our team is actively collaborating with our long-term manufacturing partners and suppliers to negotiate pricing and explore global sourcing options to minimize the impact of these tariffs. However, these new policies will affect a significant portion of our product line.
As the importer, we are responsible for these additional tariffs, which will require us to adjust our pricing. Since we source products from multiple countries, pricing adjustments will not be applied as a flat percentage but will vary based on:
- The tariff impact of specific HS codes
- The country of origin of each product
Your A+ Products, Inc. sales representative will be reaching out before March 15, 2025, with updated pricing for the items you purchase.
